Two deputy sheriffs investigate a series of unsolved violent crimes in California’s Central Valley.

From the creative team that brought you ©alifornia, Inc., writer Justin Giampaoli (Rome West, Starship Down), illustrator Dave Law (The Space Odditorium, Wolf Punks), and Studio 12-7 publisher/variant cover artist Arthur N. Ebuen (Systemic, Disrupted Tales) bring you Westside: Volume 1. This 52-page crime drama witnesses the collision of race relations, car culture, and crime with authentic autobiographical elements in an elegy to Justin’s hometown. As a resident of Northern California and a fierce indie comics veteran, Dave is the perfect co-creator for this story, using bold black and white over dramatic ink washes to create atmosphere and depth.

Westside: Volume 1 is for fans of neo-noir like HBO’s The Wire, or the crime comics of Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips; think True Detective meets California’s Central Valley.

Chris & Dave will be promoting the release of The Space Odditorium Vol.3: Take Warning! at Comics Conspiracy, Wednesday, August 6th from 4:00-8:00pm. Gather 'round San Francisco Bay Area Oddballers and join us where it all started, in our hometown, at the store where our comic book collecting habits began. CONCEPT:In the near future, ©alifornia, Inc. is a new corporate country still in its formative years with factions in-fighting to achieve their ideal of what the new nation should be. This is issue #1 of the 4-issue miniseries written by Arthur N.
